The Situation

A community in need of representation.

Access to culturally competent therapy has always been limited for communities of color. InnoPsych was founded to change that permanently.

The mission was clear: make therapists of color more visible, more accessible, and more empowered to build thriving practices. Representation in mental health care was not just the goal. It was the product.

The Challenge

More than a directory. An ecosystem.

The challenge was not to build a therapist listing. It was to design and launch a national platform that served two audiences at once: people of color seeking culturally aligned care and therapists of color building sustainable practices.

That meant delivering on every front simultaneously.​

  • Access to courses and professional development resources that gave therapists real tools to grow their practices

  • Member events and community touchpoints that built genuine belonging, not just network connections

  • A space for clients and practitioners to connect, learn, and grow together

  • A platform architecture built to scale nationally without losing the cultural authenticity that made it matter

Every phase of the build was led with one goal: bring InnoPsych's vision to life in a way that was real, scalable, and built to last.

  • Deep user research grounded every design and strategy decision in the lived experience of the community InnoPsych was built to serve

  • Full UX/UI design and development of desktop and mobile platforms, creating a seamless experience for both therapists and clients across every device

  • A complete hub built from scratch with membership features, including courses, events, professional resources, and community forums that gave therapists a genuine home base for growth

  • A brand strategy and visual identity system designed to communicate warmth, professionalism, and cultural resonance at every touchpoint

  • Targeted digital marketing and social media campaigns that built real community awareness, drove sign-ups, and grew an engaged audience
